Welcome to Stratford Acupuncture. I'm Siân Sayers, an experienced acupuncturist, mentor, and owner of the clinic, offering specialist fertility acupuncture in Stratford upon Avon.
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from The College of Traditional Acupuncture and have over 15 years of clinical experience supporting patients with fertility, women's health, and emotional wellbeing.
I am Fertility Support Trained, hold a diploma in advanced fertility acupuncture, and am a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network. I work with patients trying to conceive naturally, as well as those undergoing assisted fertility treatments including IVF and IUI.

What to Expect from Fertility Acupuncture
Fertility acupuncture is tailored entirely to you and your individual journey. Whether you are at the very beginning of trying to conceive or are undergoing IVF or IUI, treatment is designed to support your body, mind, and overall wellbeing.
Your first appointment is a detailed consultation where I take time to understand your full health picture, including your menstrual cycle, medical history, any fertility investigations, lifestyle, and emotional wellbeing. From this, I create a personalised treatment plan that evolves with you.
During treatment, you will lie comfortably on the couch, often with blankets and gentle heat to help you relax. Fine acupuncture needles are placed carefully to support your body's natural balance. Many patients find this time deeply calming, giving them space to rest and reset.

If you are planning IVF, it is often recommended to begin acupuncture around 12 weeks before your cycle starts.
This timeframe is important as egg development begins around three months before ovulation. Starting treatment early allows us to support your body in a meaningful way, rather than trying to make changes at the last minute.
Beginning acupuncture in advance also gives us time to create a consistent, personalised treatment plan that works alongside your IVF clinic, helping you feel more prepared, balanced, and supported throughout the process.

This may include suggesting more in depth blood testing or referring you to other trusted practitioners where appropriate. This is always discussed with you and tailored to your individual needs.
